Be The Light In 2021

Matthew 5:14–16 (NKJV)

14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

We are entering uncertain times. New Year’s Day was once marked as a day of new beginnings, new hope, a fresh start. This year, well, we have to stop and wonder what comes next. COVID mutating into a the zombie apocalypse, murder hornets overtaking mankind, alien invasion… who knows what could happen? One thing is for certain, however, our God is in complete control, and everyone, even the mockers, need Him for salvation. We have to let our light shine more than ever!

We Are The Light… Act Like It!

We are supposed to be the light of the world, a beacon for the rest of the world to see. Our lives should reflect the God we serve more and more each day. Our light should shine longer, brighter, and with more authority. We are children of God, we should reflect His character, His purpose, and His hope! We have to start acting like the light we are called to be.

Stop Hiding!

Let 2021 be the year you come out from hiding. It is difficult to share our faith with others, especially the first few times. There is a lost and dying world out there depending on us to show them the Way, the Truth, and the Light! We have to come out from the shadows and spread our message of hope!

Open Up Your Life, Let Them See Your Works

We often protect ourselves by building walls, locking our doors, allowing nobody to see our true life. We can be so ashamed of our past that we don’t share what God is doing in the present. We can be so scared of rejection that we do not show the world our commitment to our amazing God. Unfortunately, when we do not let people in, we minimize the impact God can have on others through us. This year open up your life, allow people in, it may just change a life.

Closing Thoughts:

God has allowed us one more day, one more year, the question is… what are we going to do with it? Gather the courage to boldly proclaim the goodness of the Lord! We have to make 2021 count, after all, only God knows when Jesus will return!

Deuteronomy 31:6 (NKJV)

6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
