Come Alive

All at once I came alive

This beating heart, these open eyes

The grave let go

The darkness should have known

(You're still rolling rolling, you're still rolling rolling oh)

You're still rolling stones

(You're still rolling rolling oh)

You're still rolling stones

I love the song “Still Rolling Stones” by Lauren Daigle. It reminds me of the day I truly surrendered my life over to the Lord. It is easy with everything going on in our lives from day to day to forget about the first time you came alive in Christ. I am not saying that we should forget that, nor am I saying that is alright, I am simply saying we can quickly forget the power that day held in our lives. Today, I just want to encourage you to allow yourself to come alive once again in Christ!

Come Alive All At Once

John 10:10 proclaims… (10) I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly… How did you feel in those first few minutes immediately following your profession of faith? Did you feel excited? Did you feel the burden of sin being lifted? Did you feel free? Jesus came so that we could have life and have it more abundantly. He died on the cross that we may truly come alive!

This Beating Heart

Psalm 119:10 encourages us… (10) With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments… Once our heart

starts truly beating for Him, we will truly seek Him. As we start to seek Him, our heart will change into the image of His! How exciting is that? As we grow closer to Him, our heart is affected by the things the Lord values, it becomes His heart beating ours!

These Open Eyes

We have a men’s group that meets on Tuesday’s and we have a fairly new member of our church that has been attending regularly. One of the most refreshing moments in my walk lately was listening to this new believer speak about the things the Lord has been showing him each day. When we truly turn our lives over to the Lord, He will open our eyes to so many things. We have to be willing to open our eyes to what the Lord has for us though.

The Grave Let Go

John 11:25 explains the victory we have through Christ… (25) Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live… Do we truly live in that promise? Though we may die an earthly death, we shall live eternally through our faith in Him. Death has truly lost its sting, sin has lost its grip, the grave has to let go!

Closing Thoughts:

Today, take yourself back to the moment you surrendered, feel the power, feel the freedom, come alive once again!

John 14:6 (NKJV)

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
