Hebrews 11:6 ESV
6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

The above scripture is an important reminder of how important believing in God is. It is not by acts alone that we are saved and it is not by acts that we get through the gates of heaven. This scripture says that without faith it is impossible to please him, which means God is pleased when we believe in Him and His word. It is strong faith that he can use to work miracles. Two Bible stories come to mind that really prove this point.
Matthew 9:20-22 NIV
20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.” 22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.
Matthew 8:8-10 NIV
8 The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he does; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” 10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.
Jesus mentioned their faith in both instances. He says that their faith is what healed. How amazing is that!? All He asks is for our faith in Him.
Closing thoughts:
Do you have great faith today?
Mark 11:24 NIV
24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
